Background Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly prevalent in the field of Computer Vision, and the UN is actively seeking ways leveraging this new Geo-AI technology for its operations. The fifth working group of UN Open GIS Initiative on Artificial Untelligence for Geospatial (WG5 Geo-AI) is to experiment with and integrate Geo-AI technology into a wider UN Open GIS Initiative's workflow and research, development, and implementation of Artificial Intelligence technologies for the United Nations operations.
Objectives of the consultation are to: 1. Share current UN Agency activities and aspirations in the field of Geo-AI; 2. Share extra-UN research and operations in the use of Geo-AI; 3. Gather opinions from the various stakeholders involved in Geo-AI on UN priorities, partnerships and collaborations; 4. Determine potential collaborations form both UN and extra-UN institutions to promote and achieve UN mandates.
