The Open Drone Map pilot project team in the UN Open GIS Initiative has been trying to apply various drone-related technologies to build a digital twin of UN camps efficiently. The OpenDroneMap community has been supporting the pilot project as well as OpenDroneMap software's training to UN staff since 2020. On the last 16 March 2022, Mr. Declan Keogh from the Open Drone Map pilot team reported updates about building the live-map around the UN camp by clipping overlaid parts from images taken by a drone flying and by replacing existing maps with the new clips.
